Welcome to Oxford Triathlon Club
The club is an ever-increasing band of dedicated athletes who share the same great enthusiasm for swimming, cycling and running in any combination!
We regularly swim, cycle & run for the club and always welcome new members. All ability levels are catered for and members range from sprightly 18-24ers right through to well seasoned veterans (ages unimaginable!).
Come along and try up to 3 sessions before you join (some sessions require payment).

There are comming in thick and fast. So if you haven't secured a place at London - there is no excuse.
You may like to know that we have some remaining bonds for this year's London Triathlon (August 9-10). We are one of the registered charities for the event, and wondered if any members of your club (who haven't already secured places) would be interested. They are suitable for any of the events, and can be used by individuals or teams of three.

Summer holiday swim sessions
Posted July 2nd, 2008 by Philip RichardsThis Friday 4 July is the last session we have at the Dragon pool until the Autumn term when we return on Friday 5 Sept.
There is however some good news as we have been able to get the use of the Rosenblatt Pool at the Oxford University Sports centre, Jackdaw Lane off the Iffley Road. We have secured 3 lanes (max 8 per lane) and the session times are exactly the same as for the Dragon i.e. 8-9pm on Mondays and 6-7 on Fridays. First session is on Monday 7 July and final session on Monday 1 September. Please note that there will not be a session on the Aug 25 Bank Holiday Monday.
Time Trial Event At Blenheim Palace Sunday 28th September 2008
Posted July 1st, 2008 by Anita DonaldsonDear All
As I work at Blenheim I thought I would let you know (if you don't already!) about an event we are holding in conjunction with British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials.
The 20km route of the Blenheim Triathlon bike course will be used for an elite time trial, then the time trial will be open to other cyclists. In the afternoon the Park will be open for everyone (families included) to ride their bikes around the Park, the first time this has been allowed!
Offer from Total Immersion Swimming
Posted June 23rd, 2008 by Claire LoadesWe have a weekend freestyle swimming workshop on the weekend of 19-20 July at Stowe School in Buckingham that's not too far up the road from Oxford.
I want to offer heavily discounted places to anyone from OxfordTri Club that book before the end of June. The normal price is £339 per person, but I'll discount that by £59, making it £280 per person. Places are limited, so it's first come first served.
Annual Dinner and summer BBQ
Posted June 22nd, 2008 by Adam MooreTo all Oxford tri members,
Hope every ones training is going well? Just to let every one know due to the hectic summer every one is having it seems it is going to be very difficult to arrange a summer BBQ.
Discussing with several members I think we will simply meet for a drink after a Sunday ride. Date to be confirmed, so please watch this space.
SAVE THE CYCLING TRACK !!!! AND THE AREA !!! Message from BMCC
Posted June 19th, 2008 by Sean NicolleIf you have enjoyed cycling on the perimeter track of RAF Weston -on-the Green, you ought to join the "En-masse" cycle from the RAF site to the playing field at Weston-on-the-Green (1 mile) to join the rally on Sunday 22nd June departing at 1.45pm to arrive at the start of the rally at 2pm.
The rally is to protest against the New Town that developers are trying to build that will consume all the airfield site and about 6 square miles of prime farming land between Chesterton and Wendlebury. It will be called Weston-Otmoor Eco-town but will be as big as Bicester !!!

Bar Race Tuesday June 17th
Posted June 13th, 2008 by Adam MooreMembers,
We are planning on have a little social after the bar race on Tuesday. We will be putting a little buffet on which will include sandwiches etc. Can you please e-mail me to let me know if you would like food so I can notify the pub of numbers? There will be a little cost for this but it will not be much. I will e-mail every one who confirms they would like food when I have the numbers.
Please let me know no later than 12.00 on Monday. Of course every one else who is not eating is more than welcomed to join us!
Many thanks
Adam

Thanks to the Club from Blenheim Tri Team at IMG
Posted June 11th, 2008 by Sean NicolleA massive thank you from all of us here at The Blenheim Triathlon.
You guys were again absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to work with.
Without doubt, this was the best event I have ever worked at and its credit to you guys who really made it work.
At the end of each event day, we sit down and have a team meeting to discuss what went well and what can be improved on for the following day. The big thing that came up from every team leader was that the marshals were the best they’ve ever worked with, and demanded that I recruit the same guys again for next year.
