Well the final BaR 'event' of the season is fast approaching and as usual there will be a social at the Blacks Head Inn, Bletchingdon afterwards. Food is again subsidised and costs £3 per head please can you let me know by Friday 3rd Sept if you would like food so I can let the pub know numbers - socials [at] oxfordtri [dot] co [dot] uk - everyone is welcome whether you are 'training' or not so come along and support!

What a fantastic day, massive thanks to all that turned up to help and marshal, nothing but praise and smiles from the competitors.

As the summer holidays draw to an end, here are the details for  Autumn term swims at the Dragon School pool.

Firstly, due to the Bank Holiday on Monday 30 Aug, there is no session at Rosenblatt (good luck to those of you competing at the Oxford Tri Triathlon in the morning). The final session at Rosenblatt is on Monday 6 September at 8pm (24 max so sign up needed).

Well, the rain held off until the final run ... and then it really rained. Well done to all who took part - some good times and everyone finished - no-one wimped out. I was asked if participants would get extra 'hardcore' points for toughing it out in the torrential conditions.  I know I can second-guess Tim in answering a categorical "no". You can, however, bask in the warm glow of knowing you didn't quit:)

Just a quickie for anyone interested in the club relays, racing or supporting. Unfortunately the entries closed  4 weeks earlier than ever and caught us on the hop. Therefore no teams going I’m afraid.  Keep the date in mind for next year so we can get interested parties signed up quicker and sort it out to kick butt next year.

Great to see everyone at Thame today I hope you all enjoyed. Did you have to leave me with spare flapjack tho !
