Annual Dinner and Summer BBQ
Hello every one,
This is a topic I would like every one’s feedback on as my self and the committee feel it is important for the club to organise social events for members. It is also important for us to find out how many of you would like to attend such events if held. I am in the progress of trying to organise two main social events. A ‘summer BBQ’ and our ‘Annual Dinner presentation evening.’
For the summer event we are thinking of a nice relaxed get together at a country pub or something similar for members to bring along children and partners to enjoy a drink and some food. For this we are proposing something for the beginning of July on a Sunday. Please let me know if interested in coming. This would be great chance to take a mid season breather and to discuss any triathlon stories or any other events you have taken part in so far to date and of course ones for next year!
For are ‘Annual Dinner Presentation Evening’ this is going to be for Friday 24th October. Again I need your feed back on what type of event you would most prefer to come to. Below I have listed some options of type of events we could arrange. Please send me an e-mail to let me know your choice or suggest something to me which I can put forward to every one.
Finally I also need to know your budget? When you send me your e-mail with which type of event you would like to attend please state the budget you are prepared to pay for a ticket.
At this point I would like to say this event is what being involved in a triathlon Club is partly about. A chance for us to celebrate each and every one’s achievements for the season. To talk about what club has done and what it’s looking to do for next year. But also to give us the ability to give some thing back to you guys who make the club what it is. So please give me 5 minutes of your time to give me some thoughts on what you guys would like to do.
Annual Dinner Presentation evening options
A) Black tie, sit down, 3 course meal with or with out a theme followed by a disco.
B) Restaurant environment with drinks and a meal followed by presentations.
C) An Afternoon/evening Pub environment with traditional pub games followed by presentation
D) Other – your ideas

How about punting? Always good for a laugh.
I like the idea of the summer BBQ although where the beginning of July isn't very far away I know i'm already booked up for the first two Sundays.
As for the Annual dinner whichever option is chosen is fine by me - i'm sure it'll be a good night wherever its held!
