SAVE THE CYCLING TRACK !!!! AND THE AREA !!! Message from BMCC

If you have enjoyed cycling on the perimeter track of RAF Weston -on-the Green, you ought to join the "En-masse" cycle from the RAF site to the playing field at Weston-on-the-Green (1 mile) to join the rally on Sunday 22nd June departing at 1.45pm to arrive at the start of the rally at 2pm.

The rally is to protest against the New Town that developers are trying to build that will consume all the airfield site and about 6 square miles of prime farming land between Chesterton and Wendlebury. It will be called Weston-Otmoor Eco-town but will be as big as Bicester !!!

If the developers get Planning Consent it will be valid for many years to come so the current "credit crunch" is no obstacle.

So arrive at the RAF station in Orange BMCC kit if possible and go to the rally at 2.45pm. Stay as long as you can and say that you do not like the idea of losing the track, having 15,000 more houses in the neighbourhood and 25,000 more cars on the local roads.

We need ordinary members of Bicester Millenniun, Oxonian, Mid-Oxon, Oxford City , A5 Rangers, Banbury Star, Didcot Phoenix and team Milton Keynes to support this protest.

At such short notice it has not been possible to find a "run leader" but just "go by the clock" and make a contribution to try to save the facility and the area from this inappropriate development.
