Sunday Rides

We have 4 planned rides going out this weekend:

Intermediate 2 will be a scenic route west led by Dave Broadribb, Intermediate 1 led by Jonny Jeffery, Intermediate-Fast led by Nick Twist and Fast will led by Alain Torri who is planning to go down to Lambourn and back, just short of 100km with two hills. Watch out for details of routes on Facebook.

If you are new to the club rough guide to speeds and distances is outlined below but this can vary depending on the group and route:

Intermediate 2, 19 – 21 kph (12 – 13 mph), typically 50 – 60k (30 – 35 miles) - No dropping
Intermediate 1, 21- 24 kph (13 – 15 mph), typically 65 – 80k (40 – 50 miles) - No dropping
Intermediate/Fast, 24 – 26 kph (15 – 16 mph), typically 70 – 90k (45 – 55 miles) - No dropping
Fast, 26 kph and above (16mph) - Dropping occasionally, should be prepared to return alone.

As usual rides leave Oxsrad at 9.15. The forecast is once again hot so it is important you have plenty of fluid and food for the rides.
