Saturday Lake Swims – Static Bike – Sunday Rides
Congratulations to everyone that raced in the past week. There were so many fantastic results at Wales, Vitruvian and Australia that I can’t list them all. Well done everyone!
Saturday lake swims
Due to the decreased number of swimmers and the issue of getting safety officers, this Saturday (15th) will be the last open water session of the year. To mark the end of the sessions Liz and Lee will be providing hot chocolate and cake for anybody swimming.
Static Bike is back! Nick will once again be leading Static Bike sessions at Oxsrad from Monday. Same format as last year but at the slightly earlier time of 7.50. Please arrive 5 minutes early to set up a bike. If you haven’t done one of these sessions before all you need is water, towel, and some firm soled running or training shoes to use with the pedals which have straps. If you have SPD clips you can use those. The pedals cannot be removed so no other clipless pedals can be used.
There are only 15 bikes so if you want a great workout while listening to Nick’s famous playlists booking is essential!
We just have one ride planned this weekend, an Intermediate/Fast ride led by Rob Davies, probably going out towards Banbury – watch out for further details on Facebook. As always leaving Oxsrad at 9.15 and please make sure you have enough food and water for the ride.
