Motivation and Confidence Workshop - Chilly Duathlon - Sunday Rides
Motivation and Confidence Workshop – 4th March
Club coach Alan Torri will be leading a workshop called Improving Motivation and Increasing Confidence in Triathlon on Saturday 4th March at 1pm at Oxsrad. This is the first of three workshops that Alain is planning, all related to the mental aspects of training and racing.
In Alain’s words “Motivation and Confidence are the foundations of our mental strength in triathlon and everything else we do. This workshop will trigger questions regarding our commitment to mental preparation, alongside our fitness preparation. Coach Alain Torri will share some useful tips to prepare ourselves mentally to the challenges presented by triathlon when training or racing. Developing a programme to increase confidence and improve motivation will lead to higher performances.”

9BAR Chilly Duathlon – Sunday
Another reminder for the first club champs event of 2017, the 9 BAR Chilly Duathlon this Sunday.
The weather is looking surprisingly good for Sunday, 9 degrees dry – though a cheeky west wind so you might want to hold off the disc wheels for a little longer! I understand that entry on the day may be available – but it’s a long way to drive to not get a space so online entry recommended.

This Sunday we have two leaders in place so we will be offering a slightly different format to cover Steady, Intermediate 1 and 2. Dave Broadribb will lead a group at a pace somewhere between Steady and Intermediate 2 and I will lead a faster ride somewhere between Int 1and Int 2. Actual pace will vary depending on who turns up, but if you’re a steady rider looking to move up to Int 2 then Dave’s ride will be ideal and equally for anyone looking to move up from Int 2 to Int 1 then mine should work well. Faster riders as usual welcome but download the route and push on ahead as your leaders are there to hold the pace to suit the group.
As mentioned above, weather is looking warm and dry with a strongish west wind. Meet at Oxsrad as usual ready to leave for 9.15am.
