Sunday Rides

This Sunday we have two planned rides going out, Intermediate 1 led by Nick Twist and Intermediate 2 led by Katherine Clarke, watch out for route details on Facebook. Meeting as normal at Oxsrad ready for a 9.15 start. Forecast at the moment is dry and relatively mild but please ensure you have suitable clothing, as well as enough food and drink for the ride, plus some cash for coffee on return to Oxsrad.

If you’re new to the club or new to group riding, and fancy something a little steadier just some advance notice that Bernard Calnan will lead a steady ride on 11 February of approximately 25-30, miles with a coffee stop.

All of our rides are friendly and inclusive and no one will be dropped, with different speeds of ride to suit a range of riders. These are approximately as below but can vary depending on leaders and weather conditions.

Intermediate 1, 24 – 26 kph (15 – 16 mph), typically 70 – 90k (45 – 55 miles).

Intermediate 2, 21- 24 kph (13 – 15 mph), typically 65 – 80k (40 – 50 miles).

Steady, 19 – 21 kph (12 – 13 mph), typically 50 – 60k (30 – 35 miles)

Have a great week!
