Open water swim sessions– Silverstone 9-up TTT – Last Turbo session/BARTTs - Sunday Rides

Well done to everyone who raced at Bicester last weekend. There were some great results with lots of age category wins and places, including an impressive win for Neil Dighton in the Aquabike despite his crutches!

Open water swim sessions

Our open water swims at Dorchester Sailing Club start tomorrow, Saturday 21 April at 8.00 am. The expected water temperature is around 11-12c so we may have to apply some distance restrictions. Thursday evening swims are likely to start a few weeks later. For those of you who are new to the club, further details about our open water sessions can be found here - https://oxfordtri.co.uk/open-water-swimming

As ever we need volunteer safety officers for every lake session, so if you are a regular lake swimmer please consider volunteering from time to time, volunteer sign-up for the Saturday sessions are already open so please sign-up if you can.

Don’t forget the coached Pre-Blenheim Swim series will be running on all four Saturdays in May – open to members and non-members alike - https://oxfordtri.co.uk/pre-blenheim-open-water-swim-sessions-2018

Silverstone 9-up TTT
As per Sarah and Alain’s email we are pleased to announce that Oxford Tri will once again be putting together three teams for the Silverstone 9-up Team Time Trial. The date of this event is confirmed as Friday 15th June 2018 and more information can be found here  http://www.bmcc2000.com/bmcc-racing/bmcc-silverstone-9up-time-trial-2018/ To express your interest in taking part please email Sarah and Alain at captain [at] oxford [dot] tri [dot] co [dot] uk

Last Turbo session/BARTT’s
This Tuesday will see the last turbo session for this year but this does mean BARTT season is almost here. If you are new to the club, BARTTs are a series of fortnightly evening run–bike-run events throughout the summer. These are based by Oxsrad and are timed so that you can track your progress throughout the season. They are great race-pace training and also give you plenty of opportunities to practice your bike-to-run transition. We also run a little season championship with your best five results counting. Watch out for further details.
