Introduction to Turbo - Club Awards Nominations - Kit Sale - Abingdon Marathon Volunteering - Sunday Rides
Introduction to Turbo This week’s Turbo is open to all but is particularly directed towards those that are new to turbo training. The sessions will cover the basics of indoor cycling training including a demonstration on how to set up, gear required, discussions about benefits and how to fit that in the training routine. There will be a short training session at the end. As always, you must bring your bike, a towel and plenty to drink. If you have a turbo then bring it along but if not the club has some you can use – first come first served.
Club Awards Nominations A reminder to get your nominations in for the club awards. Categories are Best Male and Best Female Athlete of the Year, Most Improved Male and Female Athlete of the Year and Club Member of the Year. Nominations will close on the 19th October with voting open between the 20th and 26th October.
Please give your nominations plenty of thought – this really is an important event for the club each year. If possible please include a brief reason why you have nominated someone.
Kit Sale Chris is having a kit sale this Saturday (6th) at OXSRAD - 14:00- 17:00. This will also be a clearance sale for some of our old Mobel kit. We have a number of the older Mobel trisuits (mens and womens) which will be available for £5 each. Sizes are generally very small or quite large.
Abingdon Marathon Volunteering We have had a request to help with volunteering at the Abingdon Marathon. It would be good to support this local race and you can support fellow club members running at the same time. If there are a few of us it might be good to see it we can get an OxfordTri feed station and they will also make a donation to the club for every member that volunteers You can volunteer here -https://my.abingdonmarathon.org.uk/
