Annual Dinner - Headington Hill Run - Turbo sessions - Club Championship Standings

Annual Dinner
Ticket sales for the Annual Club Awards Dinner will soon be opening. This will be at the Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road on Saturday 10th November. An email to all members with more details and booking instructions will be coming out soon but make sure you have the date in your diary. This is always a popular event so make sure to secure your place by booking early.

We will also be starting to think about awards so time to think who you might nominate. Categories are: Male and Female Athlete of the year, Most improved Male and Female Athlete and Club Member of the Year. More details on voting to follow but please start to think about who you might like to nominate.

Headington Hill Run
This Tuesday Headington Hill Run will return to the winter route. Still meet in the same place for a warm up followed by hill reps, at your own pace, up Headington Hill and back down through the park. As always followed by the all-important recovery drink in The Star!

Turbo sessions
Turbo sessions are returning from 18 September. Same time and place as last year - Tuesday evenings at Oxsrad, with set up from 7.15pm, ready to start at 7.30. These sessions are coached and will build cycling skills, efficiency, speed and strength, with sessions open to all levels of fitness. You will need to bring your own bike, a towel and plenty to drink. If you have a turbo then bring it along but if not the club has some you can use on first come first served! Sign-up not required.

Club Championship Standings
There are now only a few races left in the Club Championship series and the competition is close in some categories. You can see the results here - Only the results from your 4 best races will count towards your final score with  bonus points given for any additional races.

Sunday Rides
We have two rides planned for this weekend. If there is enough interest Dave Broadbribb will lead an Intermediate 2 ride, to enable us to gauge interest please comment on the Facebook post if you intend to go. Nick Twist will also lead an Intermediate/Fast ride. Watch out for details of rides on Facebook.

As always rides will leave Oxsrad at 9.15 and please make sure you have enough food and water for the ride.

Finally good luck to everyone racing this weekend.
